Patient Details:

This young woman was diagnosed with right breast cancer, who underwent bilateral mastectomies with staged reconstruction due to the fact she needed radiation therapy to her right breast. After allowing the skin to heal after radiation, we then used her own tissue – the DIEP flap – for her final reconstruction, allowing her to have natural appearing and aesthetically pleasing breasts, which are symmetric.

Patient Age: 35

Primary Procedure: Bilateral Skin Sparing Mastectomy

Breast Reconstruction: DIEP (free tissue transfer)

Nipple Reconstruction: 3-Dimensional Nipple Areola Complex Tattoo
