Dr. Bedri is a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in the most advanced techniques of breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. He prides himself on a gentle, honest, and respectful approach with each patient. Dr. Bedri graduated from medical school at top-ranked Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his surgical training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was selected as the Administrative Chief responsible for the Plastic Surgery academic curriculum. Dr. Bedri was then accepted into a prestigious fellowship in Breast Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. There he gained additional expertise in state-of-the-art techniques of microsurgical breast reconstruction and cosmetic procedures, including breast augmentation and reconstruction, liposuction and fat-grafting, and body contouring.
More recently, Dr. Bedri founded Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Virginia Hospital Center in the Washington, D.C. area, where he was Director of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Breast Surgery over the next five years. He continued on as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at Johns Hopkins, and was consistently recognized and featured as a Top Plastic Surgeon by Northern Virginia Magazine and the Washingtonian, as well as Arlington Magazine. Dr. Bedri joined East Coast Advanced Plastic Surgery in 2016, to work with his long-time friends and colleagues in providing state-of-the-art care for breast reconstruction and cosmetic patients. He is passionate about helping breast reconstruction and aesthetic patients alike to define and reach their goals. He carefully listens to each individual’s concerns, and balances artistry and precision to create beautiful and natural results.
Dr. Dean Cerio is a co-founder, along with Dr. Cyrus Loghmanee, of East Coast Advanced Plastic Surgery (ECAPS), in the New York and New Jersey area. Dr. Cerio specializes in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the entire body, with special expertise in breast cancer reconstruction. At ECAPS, Dr. Cerio provides all of his cosmetic patients and breast cancer survivors with a sense of wholeness and a new outlook on life.
Sharing his knowledge of the topic is important to him, having published 3 major textbook chapters, and 4 medical journal articles to date. Dean Cerio, M.D. has also presented his work at 11 local, regional, and national plastic surgery society meetings.
Dean Cerio, M.D. studied medicine at St. George's University School of Medicine before completing his medical school training at the Brooklyn Hospital Center. After that, he pursued a General Surgery residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and his Plastic Surgery fellowship and Microsurgical Breast Reconstruction subspecialty fellowship, were both at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, alongside world-renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Luis Vasconez. Dr. Cerio is an expert in all areas of plastic surgery and is always available for a one-on-one consultation.
Dr. Charbel Chalfoun is a board certified plastic surgeon recognized by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He completed his plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery training at the University of California, Irvine in Orange County, California and performs all types of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery procedures.
Dr. Chalfoun has a special interest in facelifts, rhinoplasty, and aesthetic breast surgery. Having trained in Orange County, one of the country’s leading areas for cosmetic plastic surgery, Dr. Chalfoun brings the latest surgical techniques to New Jersey. A significant portion of his training was spent with internationally renowned surgeons in Newport Beach and Beverly Hills, CA, allowing him to bring a unique perspective and skillset to his patients. Dr. Chalfoun also performs an array of reconstructive plastic surgery procedures for cancer, trauma, and burns. He holds a particular interest in breast reconstruction, including specialized microsurgery to recreate the breast with one’s own tissue to give a natural aesthetic result. He also performs surgery for skin cancer and head and neck reconstructive procedures.
Dr. Chalfoun devotes himself to listening and addressing specific patient concerns. He firmly believes in restoring natural beauty and overall aesthetic harmony. Exhibiting particular attention to detail, Dr. Chalfoun helps patients obtain their desired sense of beauty in a safe, effective, and personalized manner.
Cyrus F. Loghmanee M.D. co-founded East Coast Advanced Plastic Surgery (ECAPS) with his longtime friend and colleague Dr. Dean Cerio M.D. in 2011. They have since grown to a team of four Plastic Surgeons at ECAPS with a common goal and passion for delivering unparalleled care to each individual patient. Dr. Loghmanee completed a fellowship in microsurgery for breast reconstruction and trained with the pioneer of DIEP flap reconstruction at the Medical University in Charleston, SC. He is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery (finished in the top %1 of the country) and enjoys applying the principles of plastic surgery to serve the patients in his community, both cosmetic and reconstructive alike.
Dr. Loghmanee is an expert in the field of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery of the Breast, and ECAPS has become the specialized center in breast restoration for cancer patients in Northern New Jersey/New York area.
Our Physician Assistant, Angela, is the newest member to the ECAPS team. She completed her undergraduate education at Rutgers University and went on to obtain her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Seton Hall University. She is a board certified physician assistant who has worked in general surgery and surgical oncology for the past four years at St Barnabas Medical Center.
Through her tireless work ethic and her caring nature, Angela has helped countless breast cancer patients at every step of their journey toward recovery.
Angela discovered a true passion for the role that reconstructive surgery plays in a breast cancer patient’s journey to recovery. She now joins the surgeons at ECAPS with the common goal of helping as many patients as possible, in as many different ways as possible. She also shares an interest in aesthetic surgery, in particular with non-invasive facial rejuvenation which she offers to all of the patients at ECAPS.
She is a devoted professional who pays meticulous attention to all patient needs and concerns.
