What is a surgical bra?
Whenever we perform a breast procedure, which could be a breast augmentation, reduction, or lift, we typically require our patients to wear a surgical bra while they recover from their surgery.
A surgical bra is one that is typically made out of high quality fabrics with no dye, wires, or excessive trim. The typical surgical bra will provide 24×7 support to the breasts as the tissues recover, and in some instances, light compression. The bra’s design allows it to be worn all day with comfort. Your plastic surgeon will give you specifics for your type of breast procedure on which type, and how long you will need to wear the bra during your recovery.
