Our team of health professionals unite in one goal of delivering superlative outcomes in gender affirmation.
At ECAPS, our mission is to provide a safe, respectful and individualized approach to surgical care of transgender and gender non-conforming patients. Our group of highly skilled and compassionate microsurgeons are dedicated to this patient population. Under the guidance of a world-recognized leader in transgender care, Dr. Jonathan Keith MD FACS, our team of health professionals unite in one goal of delivering superlative outcomes in gender-affirming surgery.
IDEAL CANDIDATES
Patients who have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria and have already socially transitioned are excellent candidates for gender affirmation procedures. We follow all guidelines from the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH). Ideal candidates for these surgical procedures are in good overall health, since pre-existing physical health conditions can increase the chance of complications from surgery. Patients who are non-smokers or who are willing to quit tobacco use well in advance of their chosen procedure are good candidates for gender affirmation surgeries. Smoking has a negative effect on skin health and can lead to complications and a prolonged healing period.
COMPREHENSIVE CARE
We understand that undergoing gender-affirming surgery can be overwhelming. Our team at ECAPS will guide you through the process with ease. We will help to coordinate care with mental health providers and other specialists, if necessary. In addition, our skilled team will work directly with your insurance to organize coverage, when possible. We aim to build a relationship with you, working towards a mutual goal of delivering the utmost care in an efficient manner.
